summer fun activities 2011 aka how we plan to avoid those two dreaded words "I'm bored"

We have been officially on summer vacation for 2 days, and I am happy to say I have yet to hear those dreaded words "I'm bored".  The kids and I had a brainstorming session Friday afternoon to come up with a list of summer activities that we wanted to do. 

Here's what we came up with . . .

SUMMER TO-DO LIST 2011

Summerfun

1. professional or semi-professional soccer game  Mexico vs Venezuela 6/11

2. summer reading program at the library

3. roller skating at Crystal Palace

4. Girl's Camp

5. Harry Potter movie marathon

6. waterpark

7. bowling - midnight bowling 6/10

8. water balloon fight

9. swimming 6/11 and many many many more times this summer

10. Original Pancake House for breakfast

11. bake fancy cupcakes

12. celebrate the twins' 13th birthday

13. go see the last Harry Potter movie

14. photo scavenger hunt

15. sew a skirt

16. tie-dye shirts

17. have a backyard campout

18. go to the beach

19. visit a museum

20. super summer theater at Spring Mountain Ranch

21. go geo-caching

22. sky zone

23. make own floral clips and headbands

24. just dance contest

25. make our own homemade ice cream

26. finish a big puzzle

27. make fabric bookmarks

28. make canvas art to hang in room

29. hike out at Red Rock Canyon

30. outdoor movie at Town Square

31. have the kids plan and learn how to make a complete gourmet dinner
